Jimmy’s clinical experience includes working for a non-profit organization serving the South Bay
communities. He has experience with providing psychotherapy to adults with the intent to diminish mental and emotional suffering. Jimmy has worked with at-risk juveniles by providing individual, group, and family therapy. Additionally, he has worked with public schools providing psychoeducation on suicide prevention and early intervention while conducting assessments for self-harm. Jimmy is a retired sworn police officer of 23 years. During his LE career, he was a member of the Peer Support Team for over ten years, a PERT officer, and a School Resource Officer. As a bilingual therapist, Jimmy is able to connect with English and Spanish speaking clients. Jimmy’s focus is to work with first responders and/or their family members by creating a “safe space,” which holds no judgment and provides a place to “recharge your batteries.” In doing so, Jimmy will help the client achieve autonomy as they develop effective coping skills and techniques to manage undesired thoughts/emotions. Jimmy’s therapeutic approaches revolve around a strength-based approach by employing Mindfulness Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MCBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Therapy (MI), and
