Kathleen "Katie" Sevilla, ACSW

Katie will be on maternity leave until May 2024.

Katie is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), working under the supervision of Lisa Bertelle, license #40984. Katie received her Bachelor’s in Psychology at California State University, San Marcos where she discovered her passion for helping others.

Katie received her master’s in social work at the University of Massachusetts, Global. During her graduate program, Katie worked with veterans to facilitate their transition from the military back to civilian life.

Katie has counseled adolescents at a charter high school, ranging from ages 16-24. Katie has worked with adolescents and young adults. Besides working at Focus, Katie also works at an outpatient facility working with adults in underserved communities who live with serious mental illness and drug addiction.

Katie has over a decade of experience living with a veteran and law enforcement officer and knows how this career can affect the first responders, their spouses, and families.
